Festival 2007 Performances

• Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company
  Featuring Joaquin Encinias, Marisol Encinias, Chuscales, Jose Fernandez, and Alfonso "El Veneno". Directed by Joaquin Encinias, this amazing company features choreography by some of the world's greatest flamenco artists today, including Juana Amaya, Alejandro Granados, Yolanda Heredia, La Tati, and Israel Galvan. In a truly revolutionary and American format, Yjastros brings a fierce repertory line-up to the Festival experience.
  
  June 8th, National Hispanic Cultural Center.
   
• Compania Juana Amaya
  Moron, a Tiempo y Compas with Nazaret Reyes, Jairo Burrull, Agustin el Bola, Enrique el Extremeno, Miguel Perez and Vicente Pena. Juana Amaya presents a powerful evening of flamenco at its essence.
  
  June 9th, Rodey Theater, UNM.
   
• Vero La India y sus Gitanos de Sacromonte
  Featuring Ivan Vargas, Vero la India, and Jose Fernandez. Flamenco Granada features Ivan Vargas and Vero la India sharing the stage in an evening of passionate solos and duets which embody the unique style of flamenco from Granada.
  
  June 10th and 11th, Rodey Theater, UNM.
   
• Compania Javier Baron
  Notas al Pie with Isabel Bayon. Compania Javier Baron, in his first visit to Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque, will present Isabel Bayon in Notas al Pie. This beautiful performance will highlight a spectacular evening of flamenco Sevillano.
  
  June 12th, Rodey Theater, UNM.
   
• Fiesta Flamenca Santa Fe
  Featuring Juana Amaya, Javier Baron, Vero la India, Ivan Vargas, and Yjastros.
  
  June 13th, Lensic Theatre, Santa Fe.
   
• VI Concurso Nacional de Flamenco
  A pre-professional flamenco compettion featuring talented artists from around the country.
  
  June 14th, Rodey Theatre, UNM.
   
• Fiesta Flamenca Albuquerque
  Featuring Juana Amaya, Javier Baron, Vero la India, Ivan Vargas, and Yjastros. Festival Flamenco 2007 will close its 21st anniversary celebration with two gala performances featuring a star-studded line-up of world-class artists. Performances of this caliber are rarely seen anywhere in the world.
  
  June 15th and 16th, National Hispanic Cultural Center.
